My favourite places to stay
The hotels and guesthouses that feature on this website and/or in my books represent a very personal choice. I have visited (and continue to do so) small hotels and guesthouses all over Greece, loads of them, but I pick only those that stand out in terms of character, atmosphere, style and aesthetics. I do not use a set of rigid criteria to decide which ones to include; I simply choose those that I really like, places that offer a pleasant break from the ordinary, while at the same time making me feel right at home. It is not necessarily perfection I am after, but rather places to stay that in their own, unique way get it just right!
